Student Welfare:

Anonymity Line – We can offer a DDI number which can then be advertised as an Anonymity Line. When a student calls this number their phone number (CLI) is translated to an encrypted code which allows their identity to be hidden. This code is stored within our reporting solution, Vision Reports, which allows staff to report on the call and determine if there have been multiple calls from the same student, perhaps answered by multiple staff members over a period of time. Only under extreme circumstances and where appropriate representation is made by the school/police to Splicecom, will the code be decrypted back to its original CLI.

Staff Calling:

Emergency Outdial – Staff can dial an emergency number which will ring all senior leadership team members in the Emergency Outdial hunt group. The call cannot be accepted unless the team member answering enters an acceptance code. This ensures that the call always gets through and avoids it being diverted to, and answered by, voice mail. This is a significant feature for school’s in a lock-down scenario, where urgent senior staff input is required.

Tannoy:

Emergency Messages – If information needs to be passed quickly to staff, desk phones can be used as a tannoy system, allowing emergency information to be heard via the hands-free speaker. Yet another example where the telephone system can help in an emergency or lock-down situation.
